Solaco ("we", "us", "our") is a South African court booking platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Account information: Full name, email address, phone number (optional).
Booking information: Court bookings, dates, times, payment status.
Venue owner information: Venue details, address, contact information.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, device type.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: process bookings, communicate booking confirmations and updates, provide venue owners with booking management tools, improve our platform, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing

We share your name and contact details with venue owners when you make a booking. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers (hosting, payment processing) who are contractually bound to protect it.

5. Your Rights Under POPIA

You have the right to: access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. Contact us at hello@solaco.app to exercise these rights.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. Your password is never stored in plaintext.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for 12 months after the booking date for dispute resolution. You may request account deletion at any time.
